Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has praised Heung-Min Son. The South Korean forward was signed by Tottenham Hotspur in 2016 from Bayer Leverkusen and he has established himself as one of the best forwards in the Premier League. Carragher has been in awe of Son this season and he feels the forward will be a key player for Spurs’ hunt for a top four spot.
“Yes, he’s been a revelation since arriving from the German league. At first, you asked where he fits, because Spurs had many attacking talents and now he’s made himself one of the first names on the team sheet”, Carragher told Sky Sports. Son has made 234 appearances for Tottenham in which he has scored 90 goals and recorded 49 assists.
“Kane gets injuries, as we know, and Son can play centre forward and still provide that pace and goal threat as well. Those two, joined by Gareth Bale, as the season goes on, I think gives them a great chance of making the top four.” Son is currently out injured with a hamstring problem but he is expected to return to full fitness after the international break.
