Douglas Costa will be rejoining Bayern Munich on a one-year loan deal from Juventus, several reports have claimed. The 30-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at the Italian giants and he will be seeing even less game time following the arrival of Federico Chiesa on Monday. Bayern are looking for a new winger and have already held talks with Costa and his management.
After he joined Juventus from Bayern three seasons ago, Costa impressed during his first spell with the club. However, last season he was cut from the team by Maurizio Sarri and his successor Andrea Pirlo is also favouring other players on his position. It is now believed that all parties have agreed that he should be send on loan and that Bayern is the ideal club for him to sign for.
In recent weeks Costa has also been linked with moves to the Premier League as he had been put forward as a possible signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United. During his time with Juventus, Costa has won three league titles. The 30-year-old Costa has played 103 games for the Serie A giants, scoring 10 goals and 21 assists. At Bayern Munich he won two Bundesliga titles.
