FC Barcelona are desperate to complete a transfer for Rafinha in the final hours of the transfer window as the Spanish club is looking to sign Memphis Depay from Olympique Lyon. The midfielder has been offered out to various clubs in Europe and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Rafinha.
Barcelona had hoped to sell Ousmane Dembele on Monday as he was linked with Manchester United. There have been reports that the France international had spoken with United but that he decided he wanted to stay at Barcelona. It has now also been claimed that Barcelona only wanted to sell Dembele, with United hoping to land the winger on a year-long loan deal.
This has made Barcelona desperate to sell Rafinha as they are still looking to generate the funds needed to sign Depay. The Lyon forward has already agreed personal terms with Barcelona, while Lyon has agreed to sell their captain for a fixed €20m fee. The forward is currently stand-by as he is awaiting confirmation to complete his transfer.
