Erling Haaland is ready to join Real Madrid next summer, reports ABC. The Norwegian forward has been at Borussia Dortmund for less than a year but he has already decided that when leaves the German giants he wants to move to the Spanish capital. It has been suggested that Haaland is ready to snub offers from clubs like Juventus and Manchester United as he pursues to join his ‘dream club’.
Dortmund and Madrid have an excellent relationship and that could prove to be key in the hunt for Haaland. The striker has already netted five goals in five matches this season as he continues his great goal scoring form for the Bundesliga side. At this moment Brazilian midfielder Reinier plays on loan from Real at Dortmund and the two clubs have been talking regularly throughout the past few months.
One of the talking points could be a future transfer for Haaland and it has even been suggested that Real want to sign the striker on a pre-contract to make it possible for him to join the club in the summer of 2022. Real are chasing to sign Kylian Mbappe next summer with Haaland then joining the club a year later to complete their new ‘Galactico’ attack.
Another big pro for Madrid is the fact that Haaland’s good friend Martin Odegaard is playing for the club. The Norwegian youngster has finally been promoted to the first team by Zinedine Zidane after spending several years away on loan. The club feels that Odegaard has a great future ahead of him and could be using him to wheel in Haaland in the future.
