Luis Suarez has scored his 150th LaLiga goal as Atletico Madrid went past Celta de Vigo (2-0), becoming the second fastest player to reach this milestone. Suarez opened the score at Balaidos on Saturday with an early finish from within the box. Yannick Carrasco the completed the score for Atletico.
Suarez needed 195 appearances to reach the landmark, which is faster than his former FC Barcelona teammate and LaLiga star Lionel Messi. He is behind Cristiano Ronaldo though. The veteran Portuguese forward needed only 140 games to reach 150 goals for Real Madrid after he signed for the club from Manchester United.
Suarez has now scored three goals for Atletico since his arrival at the club this summer, while he scored 147 goals for Barcelona. Of his 150 goals, 110 goals have been scored with his right foot, 26 with his left foot and 14 with a header. And he has scored 9 goals from a penalty and 8 of his 150 goals were scored from outside the box.
