Following the news that N’Golo Kante would be considering to leave Chelsea this season, Le10Sport have dismissed the rumours. The French star supposedly had an argument with Frank Lampard after the Chelsea boss rejected Kante’s request for a free day. This led to the suggestion that the France international wanted to leave Chelsea, but these rumours have now been dismissed.
Kante asked his club for two days off last month as he wanted to visit the wedding of a good friend in France. The Blues and Lampard rejected the request as they felt it would be irresponsible to allow the midfielder to travel to France while the coronavirus pandemic is still very much active. It was then suggested that Kante was angry with the decision.
Le10Sport, however, suggest that while Chelsea did reject the request Kante has accepted it and is still happy enough to play for the Blues and Lampard. The 29-year-old midfielder has been one of the club’s key players this season and he has started every single match in the Premier League. From the five possible matches he was subbed off the field once and he completed the full ninety minutes in the others.
