Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard has suffered an injury setback as the Norwegian will be out for at least a month. The youngster picked up a muscle injury while he was on international duty with Norway last week. While it was first thought he would only have to miss Real’s match against Cadiz, it has now been confirmed he will be out for a month.
Odegaard did train with Madrid after he returned from his international duty but was left out the squad for the match against Cadiz. His injury was then examined in Madrid over the weekend and those tests have now revealed that he will be out of the running for at least four weeks, missing out on the Clasico match against FC Barcelona on Saturday.
On the positive side is the return of Sergio Ramos. The Spanish defender was forced to leave the field against Cadiz with problems in his knee but he has been able to complete two training sessions without any pain. The veteran defender will be available for selection for Real’s match against Shakhtar Donetsk and the Clasico against Barcelona.
