Everton midfielder Bernard will be able to sign a bumper contract with Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal. Several outlets including Goal claim that the Brazilian will be able to sign a multi-year contract as the Saudi’s have tabled a €6.5m offer for Bernard at Everton. The 28-year-old joined Everton on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018.
Since joining he has made 68 appearances and he had been an first-team regular at Goodison Park. However, with Everton‘s busy transfer market the midfielder has dropped down the pecking order as Carlo Ancelotti favours to play with James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure instead. Bernard has two years left on his contract at Everton.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia will be closing on October 25 and Al-Hilal have already submitted an offer for the Brazilian, but it has been claimed he wants to stay with the Premier League club. The report by Goal claims that Sporting Portugal forward Luciano Vietto and Santos winger Yeferson Soteldo are considered as alternatives for Bernard.
