Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing contract talks with star forward Heung-min Son. The Korean forward has established himself as one of the most lethal forwards in the Premier League and Tottenham are very keen on keeping him on board for the coming years. The Daily Mail reports that Son will be offered a new contract within the next few weeks.
Son has been in superb form for Tottenham this season as the forward has scored eight goals in seven appearances. For that reason the club want to reward him for his form and hope to tie him down before the end of the year. Son currently earns around €165.000-per-week and it has been suggested that Tottenham want to offer him a contract worth €200.000-per-week.
Son’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2023 and it is one of the club’s unwritten rules that he will not allow players to enter the final two years of their contract to avoid them to force a transfer away from the club. This happened to Christian Eriksen last season with the midfielder joining Internazionale for a reduced fee.
