Christian Eriksen is likely to leave Internazionale either in January or next summer. The Danish midfielder was signed from Tottenham Hotspur in January but it has been suggested that Antonio Conte never requested his club to sign the former Ajax star. Calcio Mercato now suggest that Inter are looking to sell Eriksen and are looking at AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu as a cheap alternative.
The Turkish international had a rough first few seasons at the San Siro but has established himself as one of the clubs major stars under new boss Stefano Pioli. The 26-year-old is, however, in the final year of his contract and talks over a new deal have not started yet. Milan need to find a deal with Calhanoglu before January or the midfielder will be allowed to sign a pre-contract with another club.
Inter are ready to step in and make an offer for Calhanoglu in the January window, hoping that Milan want to receive a small transfer fee instead of losing him on a free transfer in July. But, before the Nerazzurri will be able to land Calhanoglu they will need to sell Eriksen, who has attracted interest from the Spanish LaLiga and Premier League.
