Manchester United have added Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore to their shortlist of possible alternatives to Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are still very interested in bringing in the Borussia Dortmund star to Old Trafford in January or next summer but are aware that the Germans are keeping their foot down and will still demand €125m for Sancho.
With Dortmund not ready to lower their demands for the England international, United have been putting together a shortlist with possible alternatives. The club has added Ousmane Dembele (FC Barcelona) and Kingsley Coman (Bayern Munich) to the list, but the Daily Mail have now also claimed that United are interested in signing Traore.
Liverpool have been considered leading in the chase for Traore should he decide to leave Wolves next summer. The Reds are planning a bid in the region of €70 to €90m and United could be interested in matching these terms if Dortmund are still difficult negotiating partners. Traore has played a key role for Wolves following their 2018 Premier League promotion with 96 appearances in all competitions and seven goals.
