Good news for Real Madrid as Eden Hazard and Sergio Ramos have both been included in the club’s Champions League squad for their match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday. The club has confirmed that the two star players are fit enough to feature in Real’s mid-week match, though it is expected that Hazard Will start on the bench.
The Belgian forward has been struggling with injuries ever since his €100m move from Chelsea last summer and he has yet to make an appearance for Real this season. For the last 39 days he has been out with a muscle injury after he originally returned to full fitness at the end of September.
Ramos featured in Real’s 3-1 win over FC Barcelona on Saturday but was forced off the pitch with a knee injury. After he was spotted with an ice pack on his knee in the stands it was feared that Ramos would have to sit out the match against Gladbach. The veteran defender has been examined on Sunday and it has now been confirmed he doesn’t have any damage to his knee. He return to team training on Monday as Real prepare for their second Champions League match of the season.
