AC Milan are reportedly following the current situation of Mauro Icardi at Paris Saint-Germain. Several reports from Italy have suggested that the Argentinian’s wife Wanda Nara is planning to return to Italy as she feels this is the perfect country for her children to grow up. This could lead to Icardi submitting a transfer request at the Parisians next summer.
The former Internazionale striker is considered as the best option for Milan to reclaim their position in the top of Italian football. They are also looking for a long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. While the veteren Swede has been in superb form for Milan this season, he will turn 40 next year and will be nearing the end of his career soon.
It will be interesting to see if PSG will be open for Icardi to leave the club after they completed his €64m transfer this summer. The 27-year-old, who has a contract until the summer of 2024, is currently recovering from a knee injury and has missed the club’s last three matches. In total he has made 38 appearances for PSG, scoring 22 goals and recording 4 assists.
