Arsenal should be looking at the possibility of signing Christian Eriksen during the January window, says former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell. The Danis playmaker is unhappy at Internazionale and he looks to be available on the winter transfer market. If Inter do decide to offload Eriksen in January, Arsenal should be making an offer, even though he played for Arsenal’s greatest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Eriksen played a massive total of 305 games for Tottenham before moving to Inter in 2019. “Eriksen played for the rivals but we all know the quality he possesses, that is for sure,” ex-Arsenal striker Campbell told Football Insider. “It is not quite working out for him at Inter right now and I am sure he would be a good addition to Arsenal’s squad.”
“I do not care if he played for Spurs – he is a superb player who can bring something to the table for Arsenal. I would not mind it if we swapped Eriksen for Xhaka. The key is building and fattening that squad up to challenge and you can never have enough quality players.” Eriksen could be available on a bargain price in January as Inter would be happy to offload the Dane due to his high salary.
