Ajax are reportedly looking for a new striker and the Dutch giants are prepared to go the extra mile in the January winter window to sign a new centre forward. According to reports from Italy, Ajax have interest in signing Napoli striker Arek Milik. The Polish forward already played two seasons for Ajax before he made a big money move to Napoli.
Milik has fallen out of contention at the Italians after he refused to sign a new contract during the summer. It was expected that he would make a transfer but proposed moves to Juventus, AS Roma and Atletico Madrid failed for various reasons. Milik stayed at Napoli but was banned from the first team shortly after the transfer window closed.
The reports have claimed that Napoli are willing to sell Milik for a €10m transfer fee as they hope to recuperate a small piece of the €30m they paid Ajax in 2016. Over the past few years Milik has been a first-team regular at Napoli, making 122 appearances for the club across all competitions. The forward has scored 48 goals.
