Manchester United have placed Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel on a shortlist with possible replacements for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian manager has the confidence of his club, but lacks the support from the fans. It is possible that United will still decide to part ways with Solskjaer if the results in the Premier League do not improve before the end of the year.
Mauricio Pochettino is still considered as the number one favourite to take over if United do decide to sack Solskjaer this season. However, the Argentinian has been linked with numerous clubs all over Europe, including PSG. It could be possible that the French giants will appoint Pochettino as their new manager for the 2021-22 season.
Tuchel has entered the final year of his contract in Paris and up until this point there have not been any negotiations on a new deal between the two parties. Le Parisien suggests that Tuchel isn’t interested in a new contract and would like to work in the Premier League. With Pochettino possibly on his way to replace Tuchel in Paris, the German could end up as the new manager of Man United next season.
