Real Madrid have possibly been given a big blow in their hunt for French wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga. The Stade Rennes midfielder has decided to sign for Stellar Group, the agency run by Jonathan Barnett, who is also the agent of Gareth Bale. Camavinga has signed a multi-year contract with the Stellar Group as the 18-year-old is hoping to develop his career in one of the big leagues.
In a statement Barnett confirmed that Camavinga has joined his agency: “We are the official representatives of Eduardo Camavinga. I thank the family for their trust in me and our agency, and look forward to working with them to ensure Eduardo’s best interest.” Barnett and the Stellar group also represent Bale, Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) and Saul Niguez (Atletico Madrid).
And signing for Barnett’s agency might be a big blow for Real, who do not hold the best relationship. The agent hit out several times last season at Madrid after the agent felt they mistreated his client Bale. The Welsh winger was frozen out under Zinedine Zidane last season and then decided to leave Real during the summer. Bale currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur on loan.
