AC Milan have not discussed the possibilities of a new contract with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The veteren Swedish striker has been in top form for the Rossoneri this season, scoring 11 goals from 10 games. Ibrahimovic signed a one-year contract in August and the club has already confirmed that they will be happy to discuss new terms for the 39-year-old.
“We haven’t started talking about this yet. We’ll do it at the right moment, it will depend on his mood, his desire,” AC Milan sporting director Ricky Massara told reporters on Sunday. “He has shown that he wants Milan so much, I think Milan is giving him a lot too. We hope he will have this desire for a long time to come.”
Ibrahimovic returned to Milan in January following his contract expiration at LA Galaxy. He then played a huge part in Milan’s streak in the final parts of last season and he has been their top performer this season in both the Serie A and Europa League. Milan currently lead the Serie A with 26 points from the first ten games of the 2020-21 campaign.
