Manchester City have decided to pull the plug out of their reported interest for Kylian Mbappe. The Paris Saint-Germain star could be one of the hottest targets on the summer transfer market as he will be entering the final year of his contract in Paris. Man City have made contact with the agent of the French international and have reportedly been shocked by the forward’s demands.
The Premier League giants are in the market for a new forward and Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland have been put forward as City’s primary targets. Mbappe reportedly topped the list and City made contact with the forward’s agent. Several reports from England and France have claimed that City have already pulled the plug from the negotiations after hearing Mbappe’s wage demands.
The 2018 World Champion has demanded a contract worth €660.000, at PSG or at another club and that has reportedly even shocked the board of Man City. The club has now pulled the plug from the negotiations with Mbappe and his representatives and are now fully committed of signing Haaland as the replacement of Sergio Aguero this summer. Meanwhile Real Madrid and PSG are still fighting over Mbappe.
