New Chelsea signing Saul Niguez has been impressing his new manager Thomas Tuchel during his first week with the club. The Spanish midfielder has not been called up for the national team, making it possible for him to train with several of his new teammates at Chelsea’s trainingground Cobham. During his first week Saul impressed Tuchel and rumours are he is ready to jump in the starting XI when action in the Premier League returns next week.
While most Chelsea players traveled to meet up with their national teams, Saul was left out of Spain’s squad by Luis Enrique. The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has enjoyed a full week of rest, only training with the rest of his teammates at Chelsea. The Blues will play Aston Villa this weekend and it has been reported Tuchel is ready to start Saul.
Football.London say that the midfielder has already won the confidence of his teammates and coaching staff in the few days he has been with the club. The Spanish international brings a large portion of experience to the club having won La Liga, the Europa League twice and finished as runner-up in the Champions League in 2016.
