Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg have another diamond in the rough at their disposal and could be ready to cash in. 19-year-old striker Karim Adeyemi has taken the stage at the Austrians and has been impressing the biggest clubs in Europe with his performances. The youngster has been linked with a big money move in either January or next summer.
The German striker was signed by the Red Bull group for €3m from Unterhaching and was then sent on loan to affiliate club FC Liefering. Since he joined the 2.Bundesliga side on loan he has been developing well which earned him a return to Salzburg. His performances at the Bundesliga giants even impressed Germany manager Hansi Flick, who rewarded the youngster with a call-up.
He made his senior debut last week against Armenia and immediately scored his first goal for Germany. His development has not gone unnoticed with the big teams in Europe and according to BILD several clubs have already made contact with Salzburg. Adeyemi has a contract until the summer of 2024 and interested clubs will have to dig deep in their pockets to sign the striker.
This season Adeyemi has been in stellar form for Salzburg, scoring six goals in as many league games. In Austria the performances of the youngster have already been compared to those of Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker emerged as one of the hottest talents in Europe while playing for Salzburg before he joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2019.
