Internazionale midfielder Christian Eriksen is currently working hard on the recovery from a heart attack he suffered during Euro 2020. The Danish playmaker has passed all the necessary medical tests in order for him to make a full return to football. Reports from Italy have stated that Eriksen has returned to Milan and is ready to complete the final stage of his recovery as early as next month.
The footballing world held their breath as Eriksen collapsed during Denmark’s first appearance at the Euro’s against Finland. A medical team managed to bring Eriksen back to consciousness and transported him to a nearby hospital. There he was operated on and received an internal defibrillator before starting his rehabilitation.
He has been making improvements in his recovery and several weeks ago he was given the clear to return to Italy. Back in Milan Eriksen has been working with the medical staff, undergoing several tests. If he passes the tests he will be cleared to start training again. Inter has agreed that Eriksen will travel back to Denmark to begin his training. At this point it is uncertain when or if Eriksen can return to professional football.
