Liverpool have made England international Jude Bellingham a transfer target for next summer, reports the Daily Star. The talented midfielder is considered as one of the leading players for the future and The Reds believe they are ahead their rivals Manchester United and Manchester City in the race to sign Bellingham next summer from Borussia Dortmund.
Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his midfield next summer and the German believes Bellingham will be the perfect fit for his three-man midfield. The now 18-year-old joined Dortmund in the summer of 2020, snubbing Man United in the proces. During his first season in Germany he managed to establish himself as a first-team regular and his value rocketed.
He earned himself a spot on Gareth Southgate’s England EURO2020 squad and is expected to be an integral part of the Three Lion’s World Cup campaign. While it is understood Bellingham is happy at Dortmund, he would consider a return to England. Bellingham currently is on a long-term contract at Dortmund, meaning Liverpool will have to dig deep in their pockets to sign him.
